WIRELESS MANAGEMENT SUITE
Wireless Management Suite (WMS) offers life cycle management of wireless networks based on the Summit WM3000 WLAN solution. Wireless Management Suite is an intuitive, browser-based, network management solution for management, troubleshooting and monitoring. RF heat maps display system performance. Users can manage hundreds of sites, as well as thousands of devices, view the status and location of wireless infrastructure devices and clients, search for specific pieces of equipment, troubleshoot network issues, generate reports and export raw data.
Wireless Management Suite comes bundled with Summit WMScanner, a tool for network device deployment, building formatting and site surveys. With a graphical dashboard view of over two hundred network statistics, the network administrator can instantly assess the status of the wireless network. With wizard-based tools, the user can analyze RF and network problems and quickly and easily troubleshoot network service problems. Summit WMScanner enables a customer to import floor plans and display the devices. The Wireless Management Suite software runs on a Microsoft Windows Server platform.
Benefits & Features
Extreme Networks Wireless Management Suite is a powerful management platform capable of establishing and maintaining wireless networks that are dynamic in nature. With the ability to plan, configure, deploy, monitor and troubleshoot the network from one platform, network administrators can reap huge benefits from efficiencies to better user experience. Extreme Networks WMS provides an intuitive and easy-to-use user interface that makes navigation and performing network operations easy. Network administrators with little or no RF experience can manage their wireless networks within a few hours of installing WMS. Coverage level and network utilization are graphically displayed, allowing IT professionals to instantly assess network status. The topology view in WMS displays every element of the wireless network. Configuration management adds another operational simplicity. Configuration management archives and reloads device configuration and performs configuration diffs or baselining for auditing purposes. Firmware management obtains firmware version and availability information, and performs multi-step upgrades for single or multiple devices.
EPICenter® provides a single unified view on the health and status of wired and wireless networks from Extreme Networks. It discovers network elements including wireless LAN controllers and access points and displays the entire topology. With WMS interoperability and integration, a network administrator can conduct all of the wireless management tasks from a single console of the EPICenter.
