ReachNXT™ 100-8t is an 8-port 10/100 Fast Ethernet port extender delivering outstanding performance in a simple enterprise-class access solution, extending the revolutionary modular operating system, ExtremeXOS®.

ReachNXT 100-8t extends the revolutionary ExtremeXOS core-class operating system from Extreme Networks to the network access. ReachNXT 100-8t provides users with a consistent ExtremeXOS experience at an affordable price. It is best suited for network access applications where easy network deployment is required.

The compact and quiet ReachNXT 100-8t enterprise-class port extender provides 8 Fast Ethernet ports plus 1 Gigabit Ethernet combination copper/SFP fiber port. An optional power adapter provides the ReachNXT 100-8t with power when the SFP fiber port is used.

ReachNXT 100-8t is a 10/100BASE-T port extender that can aggregate traffic from a small department, multiple stand-alone devices, or similar applications. ReachNXT 100-8t connects to an upstream ExtremeXOS switch via plug-and-play, providing a consistent user experience from core to edge to access of the network. The auto-discovery function allows the ReachNXT 100-8t and the ExtremeXOS switch to recognize each other and appear in EPICenter® network management. Key features and benefits include:

Technical Specs

ReachNXT 100-8t provides 8 ports 10/100BASE-T with autospeed and auto-polarity, and a combo 10/100/1000BASE-T (for Power over Ethernet input) or 1000BASE-X SFP port (shared PHY). ReachNXT 100-8t also provides fiber-to-copper media conversion from its 1000BASE-X SFP port to its eight 10/100BASE-T ports.

  • 5.6 Gbps switch fabric bandwidth, 4.1 Mpps frame forwarding rate (based on 64-byte packets)

Warranty Policies

If a problem should occur during the applicable warranty period, please follow the processes detailed below. Extreme Networks warranty coverage is detailed in the warranty card that ships with the product. The warranty period is measured from the date the product is shipped from Extreme Networks.

Warranty Process

Please contact your local Extreme TAC via phone, email or web.

Please have the following information available:

  • Product number (example, Summit® X650)
  • Serial number of the product (on the outside of the product, or can be viewed via the CLI)
  • Complete description of the product failure

If the problem requires that the product be shipped back to Extreme Networks, ensure that you have obtained a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, and note this RMA number on the box, when you ship the defective unit back to the appropriate Extreme Networks location.
